I had the chance to participate in the Lovely Letters Snail Mail Exchange this month which is hosted every month by the LocalAdventurer blog. The premise is simple - you are paired with another blogger, you get a chance to get to know them and then you send each other a package with some trinkets (with a limit of $7) and a Lovely Letter.
My last exchange didn't go so well, but this time, I was paired with the Esther from the LocalAdventurer blog. Make sure that you check it out. Local Adventurer specializes in travel posts, fantastic travel advice, and recipes! I had a fantastic time talking to her. We talked about travel, jewelry, style, and food!
This month's theme was Green and I completely failed at it. I tried to make up for it in my packaging.
And of course, as a DIYer, I had to make something. So after creepily asking for her wrist measurement, I made her a set of stretchy bracelets (like the ones I made here) and a necklace. I also sent a pair of bangles from India in honor of our shared interest in traveling and a small Paint-By-Numbers set to inspire her to paint!
Check out the link-up here!
Have you participated in a snail mail exchange before?
Those stretchy bracelets look so awesome! You did a great job selecting the necklace pendant for her.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I figured that the anchor pendant would be a good representation for traveling!
DeleteI took part for the first time this month and received some gorgeous goodies x
ReplyDeleteThis was my first time as well!
DeleteThis is so cool! I didn't even know this existed. Love what you made, too. How meaningful to make something for someone :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I love making things for people - it lets me practice with different aesthetics. You should participate! Sign-ups are until the 6th!
