Back to the basics - DIY Bracelet

I think for most people, the process of making your own jewelry undergoes certain steps.

It starts out simple enough. A beading set from the local toy store that had some string that would never knot well, cheap plastic beads, and only four clasps. Flash forward, and now you have multiple drawers and cabinets filled with all types of beads, wire, chains, jump rings, clasps, and the list goes on.

And sometimes you just don't want to deal with the wire and the chains. And this is a DIY for those days. The days you just want to string some beads. The only difference between then and now? You probably have better supplies.

I now present to you a very easy DIY bracelet!

Thanks to my friends Laverne and Ayden once again!

For the bracelet, you will need:
  • Pliers
  • Scissors
  • Clasps
  • Jump rings
  • Hemp
  • Assorted beads
  • Glue (not pictured)

So, it's pretty straightforward. Cut out three pieces of hemp about 4 to 5 inches longer than your wrist. String on the beads in patterns of your liking.

Tie a knot at each end with a large jump ring. Using the pliers, attach your clasps.

Cut off any excess hemp. Secure the knots with glue and you are done!
