If you have been following this blog for awhile, you may have noticed some motifs and recurring themes. One of which is a love for spikes. I kind of love spikes. Used properly they can bring some flavor into a potentially boring piece of jewelry.
The only problem is deciding at what point you have too many spikes.
This DIY is fairly easy and I am not sure if it even warrants a DIY...
For this DIY, you will need:
- Beading wire
- Spike beads
- Assorted beads
- Pliers
- Clasps
- Crimp beads (not pictured)
The tutorial:
Begin by cutting a portion of wire about 4 inches larger than your wrist size. String on a crimp bead, your jump ring/clasp and fold about two inches of the wire over the jump ring and through the crimp bead as shown above. Secure the wire by pressing the crimp bead with your pliers.
String on your beads in the pattern of your choosing.
Finish the bracelet by string on a crimp bead, your jump ring/clasp and folding over the last two inches of the wire through the crimp bead and a few of the beads. Secure the bracelet by pressing the crimp bead with the pliers. Cut off any excess wire.
And there you have it! A simple and versatile piece of jewelry!
